Frequently Asked Questions

What division is right for my child?

T-Ball is for current kindergarteners; B-Ball is for 1st Graders and 2nd Graders who need to further develop basic baseball skills; Farm League is for 7 to 11-year-olds who can play competitive baseball; Majors is for 9 to 12-year-olds who get drafted. Use this Little League age chart to help determine your child's age per league guidelines.

When are tryouts?

Tryouts for Majors and Farm League will be held in February 2026. More details will be shared as the date approaches.

There are no tryouts for B-Ball or T-Ball.

When will I find out what team my child is on?

The majors and minors teams will be drafted at the end of February and the first week of March. B-Ball and T-Ball teams will be announced by mid-March.

How can I help?

We especially need coaches for T-Ball and B-Ball every year. Coaches must complete certification for the Rutgers SAFETY Clinic. Please get in touch with the Parks & Recreation Dept. for details on how you can get certified.

We need people to help prepare the fields for games. Help with league fundraising and the snack stand (kitchen crew) is very helpful as well. You can select areas where you think you can help when registering your child online.

T-Ball FAQ: How is this different from Pre-T-Ball run by the Parks & Rec in pre-school?

T-Ball strives to have 10 or fewer players on a team. Players start the season hitting off a tee but will transition to coach pitch when ready. Coaches work on players understanding basic game situations and making basic plays on the field.

T-Ball FAQ: When are the games?

T-ball games are played Saturdays, with the occasional weekday games.

B-Ball/T-Ball FAQ: Can my child play with friends from school?

B and T-Ball teams are formed by the school. If there are too many players from a school for a single team, a group will be teamed with a group from another school.
